We had so many wonderful happenings during the last three weeks … Wangue gave birth to Camellia our new Kenya grandchild. Marc Carrier, our missionary friend moving back to the U.S brought us another Maltese who has become a great friend for our little dog Angel, and our daughter Yiskah come to Kenya for a visit. For most missionaries, one of the most wonderful things that can happen … is family coming for a visit.
We had reserved an Air B&B in Nairobi because we would be picking Yiskah up around midnight and it’s never a good idea to try and drive three hours back to Nakuru during the night.
We checked in the Air B&B at 2:00 p.m. and were greeted by some very cute monkeys and then we taught Njeroge how to play checkers. We headed to the airport around 10:00 p.m. and two hours later, looking like bandits, we finally got our daughter. We stayed up to 3:00 a.m. talking and then collapsed in our beds.
The morning drive back to Nakuru was absolutely beautiful filled with great vistas and animals. She arrived at Windy Hill bearing gifts and a lot of love. Loving the babies, the children, and everyone else. She played with and taught the children and everyone she met fell in love with her. She even groomed our two dogs!
Yesterday, she traveled to a school and ministered with tears to 50 young women. They asked when she could come back.
We are two-thirds through her visit and we believe the last third will be the best. Thank you Father for such a wonderful gift.
StoneHouse … with a very happy dad and mom.
