“Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecc 4:12

Our disciples are learning the spiritual and physical benefits of working together. So many ministries and entrepreneur endeavors fail due to the simple fact …of trying to succeed by themselves. Instead of trying to make everything work by themselves, they are learning to include the wisdom and experience of their brothers and sisters.

Like our sister Janet, whose husband recently passed away. Janet wanted to be self-sufficient, yet with no skills or experience in business, she was likely to fail. With the help of SMI and Heaven’s Family, she now has a business license, a charcoal oven, supplies, and a place to begin her small neighborhood bakery. Yet… how to start?

Since we don’t use the church meeting place every day she now has a rent-free place for her business. Then we directed her to our overseer in Piavi Njoro, Joshua. Joshua is a great baker and came to her aid. He taught her how to bake buns, snack cakes, and other quick sell items. Janet was overjoyed. Then other members of our churches came offering her business, marketing, and record-keeping advice. The youth from the Miti Mingi church even came and volunteered to help with distribution in the neighborhood… free of charge.

This serves not only to bless and help Janet succeed but becomes a major source of blessings to her helpers. It is also creating in them a ‘ministering mindset’. We are very proud and excited for both Janet and her helpers. In so doing, they are building up the body of Christ, spiritually building up themselves and demonstrating their new life in the Kingdom to the world around them.
