A few days ago we visited Wangui’s sewing center in the little village of Barute. Maureen, her assistant teacher, is standing on her right in the second picture of this post. These two ladies have created a working environment conducive for moms with children to become self-supporting.
They now have 5 students learning to sew a new stitch in their future. The students are really progressing in these new life skills. As you can see in the pictures, these young moms are tackling the challenge of parenting while developing a career. The environment at the center was both pleasant and encouraging. We are proud of both teachers and students.
Pray for Wangui and her students. It was sweet to see all she’s done!
