For the last 2 years StoneHouse has been involved in helping the members of our church families begin small, new businesses. Whether its buying a cow to sell the milk, or beginning a small roadside store, our thoughts are, it’s not enough just to speak to the disciples concerning all the Lord taught us. They need to be equipped and trained to actually practice all the Lord commanded.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Hence, our partnership with ‘Heaven’s Family’…http://www.heavensfamily.org/ministries/micro-loan/ and their ministry of creating local ‘Micro Bankers’ that can provide, very low interest small business loans and instructions on how to run a successful businesses.
Part of this process involves ‘Skyping’ with Heaven’s Family for ongoing training. These pictures are of Karanja, the overseer of the Kamwaura StoneHouse Church family, discussing in our living room, how to provide small loans for the members in his church. We now have three such ‘Micro Bankers’, helping disciples to become self-sufficient and make enough money to help others.
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. (Ephesians 4:28)
