Meta-Camp and Seminar

Greetings to all our Facebook friends and family. We just returned from an impromptu and wonderful journey to America and the next few posts will reveal many of the inspiring events that took place.

We were only able to be in America for a little over two weeks, yet were able to visit some of our family and attend a powerful seminar for five wonderful days of learning and fellowshipping with Curtis Sargent and eleven other disciples from all over America.

It was a long and tiring trip to the U.S. with 8 and 15-hour layovers in Frankfurt Germany and Chicago respectfully. Yet, it all was worth it when my son-in-law Chris picked us up in Birmingham, Alabama. The seminar was only an hour and a half from their house, so we were able to stay with them. Cynthia stayed with the children and grandchildren (more on our visit later) while I went to the 5-day teaching.

The 8-hour sessions were amazing and Curtis Sargent was one of the most experienced and humble servants/disciples I’ve ever met. The sessions were largely discussion orientated with questions concerning our personal relationship to Jesus and practicably walking out how to create a disciple-making movement within the ‘simple church’ movement.

Curtis and his wife are internationally known for fruit that has … literally resulted in tens of millions of disciples being made and equipped in the concept of disciples making disciples. Spiritual and practical strategies were taught with a lot of practicing what we learned. The accommodations were good, sleeping in small cabins and eating the amazing cuisine prepared by Curtis’s wife Debie and family. What wonderful servants they were. Well, that is only a snapshot of the events. There will be two other posts devoted to the trip. I can tell you that we are very excited about what we gained and the prospect of training all our churches on how to share in this major blessing.
