We are supporting our widows thru creating for them businesses that will become self-sustaining. It doesn’t take much to get them going. Two to three hundred dollars is sufficient … for starting the first month’s rent, supplies to sell for a month, a sign above their business, shelves (if needed), a business license, and required medical report. We are teaching them how to start, maintain the business, and to keep good records.
One example would be Mary Wangeri who is an active member of the Barut fellowship. Mary has six children with no visible means of support. Through her new business, Mary will now be able to pay her rent and food for her family. She has already begun to turn a profit and this is during the CV-19 pandemic. She is incredibly grateful and hard working. Our Father has already begun to bless her endeavor.
We are establishing four other ladies in business in everything from baking sweet bread to selling fish in the local market. All businesses are overseen by other church members and are completely open and accountable to each other. We especially thank ‘Heaven’s Family’ for their part in this work.
We have twenty other widows we are praying to help as well. Pray for them and us that we can hear and obey these wonderful opportunities for our faithful church members.
Blessings from the StoneHouse family of Disciples.
