A little over a year and a half ago we met missionary Mark Moore. When coming to Kenya, Mark would stay with Cynthia and me in our house on Windy Hill. We loved his passion and zeal for the Lord. A good friendship was formed and all the inhabitants of Windy Hill enjoyed his warm fellowship.
At that time Mark, (a year ago) was in good health ministering the scriptures in various churches around Kenya. It was fun ‘comparing notes’ concerning our work in the Kingdom. Yet, within weeks Mark began to feel ill and had to return to America to seek medical assistance. It was then he discovered he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Doctors did what they could but Mark could not take the rigors of chemotherapy.
As things progressed, Mark being in poor health, felt the need to return to Kenya and our home. He did and it’s now been about two months. Mark had to hire a home health-care person to be with him twenty-four hours a day. The young health care worker is now staying with Mark in our guest room.
Mark had witnessed the wonderful Life we share together here on the Hill and asked if he could build a house on our land at his expense. We were delighted and said of course. When Mark asked about the house a few days after he returned to Kenya, we began construction right away. The construction is progressively underway and we will be putting the roof on this coming Monday.
Please pray for Mark that he would receive the peace of God in whatever our Father intends.
