Last Sunday … was a frighteningly fruitful and bountifully busy day, yet it was filled with a lot of joy and praise. It began at 7:30 a.m. with our daughter’s testimony to over fifty female, teenage students at Timani High School. Then we were able to preach the Kingdom of God for 30 minutes. They really liked it and asked if we can come every Sunday at 8:a.m. so it appears that we will be teaching them for one hour each Sunday morning from now on.
We hurried back to the pavilion at Windy Hill for the baptism of 5 more disciples in the pavilion at Windy Hill. At ten o’clock we began our 2 and 1/2 hour seminar with forty-seven home church leaders. We ate lunch at 1:00, returned at two, and taught 2 and 1/2 more hours.
2021 is happening just as our Father told us it would. Strong and militant. On New Year’s day, another man gave his life to Christ and was among those Sunday who was baptized. Another on the same day re-dedicated his life to serving Christ. Also on that same day, one of our church leaders said he could no longer be with us because we didn’t give him enough ‘benefits’ (translated money). He’s right … we don’t buy disciples. May God have mercy on his soul.
If you, like Isaiah’, say when God asks “who will go for us and whom shall we send?”, and you answer “Here I am … send me!” … know that you will face betrayal, slander, gross unfaithfulness, staggering ingratitude, and a host of other malicious things coming your way. Why do you ask? Because in the words of our missionary friend Glenn Roseberry … “Church and discipleship are messy.” His full post link is HERE.
Tomorrow five of us, including Yiskah, will head to Kericho for 3 days to teach 6 churches the seminar there.
Keep praying for us … we need it, we aren’t as young as we used to be.
And sorry about the dark faces in the pics … we are working on the lighting for baptisms.
