A Gift From Our Father

Some of you know that our spiritual daughter Wangui is pregnant. As her due date draws closer, everyone here in SMI is becoming very excited. Wangui and her husband are some of the most precious people we have ever been privileged to know.

Three days ago, at a doctor’s appointment, she was told the baby was breech and would have to get a C-section. Njoroge, her husband, was planning to get the church together the next day and pray the baby would turn. But our Father had other plans. That night Wangui said the baby was restless and was moving all night.

The next morning she came to my wife Cynthia and asked to be examined. She did so and then said … the baby has turned last night. We didn’t even have time to pray and God answered our hearts! There is a song we used to sing years ago that states … It will come to pass that before they speak … I will answer them.

They shall not labor in vain, Nor bring forth children for trouble; For they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, And their offspring with them. “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear”. (Isaiah 65:23,24)

No one should doubt that Wangui is blessed by the Lord. Needless to say, everyone is praising our Father’s goodness and knowing that we are among those receiving the blessings spoken by Isaiah so long ago.
