2023 INGATHERING
Our 2023 Ingathering Celebration
… the firstfruits of your labors which you have sown in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field. Exodus 23:16
May our Father bless you and yours with the most prosperous and fruitful New Year ever. 2023 has been a very difficult year and though we don’t know what 2024 holds …. we do know who is holding it.
Last weekend we were able to gather some of our fruit of our labor (church families) from the various towns and villages around Kenya for a true spiritual celebration of our unity and corporate Life. It was indeed both spiritual and joyful.
When people entered Windy Hill’s gates they began to sing and dance while ushering up praise for the One who gave us His love for one another. It is not only the world that needs to know we are Christians as they see our love for one another and God, but we ourselves need that same assurance. As the scripture states …
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” … By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. John 13:35, 1John 5:2
From Friday afternoon to Sunday evening the celebration would continue. We sang, danced, and shared with each what our Father had spoken and accomplished with and in us throughout the year.
We ate wonderful meals prepared by wonderful people and had wonderful fellowship while we did so. We had men’s meetings, women’s meetings, youth meetings, and everybody meetings. We had campfires, volleyball, dance presentations, then got up the next morning and did it all over again.
The days were filled with acknowledging leaders through the laying on of hands and prayer, people requesting to be baptized and consuming Bread of Heaven that we joyfully fed each other in communion.
It would be impossible to write of all we saw and heard but we feel confident the pictures will tell the story. Blessings to all.
